Our Stallions

Dantibes is a proven sire of over 55% winners to runners. His female line is excellent being the son of Barts great racemare Cap D’Antibes. He also gained his first black type winner as a broodmare sire this season with Gundy Son. A new point of interest for Dantibes is that his close relation from the family of Cap D’Antibes, Canadian Frontier has recently had his second Group 1 winner. He has had 56 winners from only 76 starters in the USA.

Upsized was a successful racehorse in his own right even though he never managed a stakes win. His female line once again contains plenty of appeal with his 2nd dam Little Nuisance (By Ahonoora) being a half sister to English Wonder, the dam of Dr Grace and Asia. Upsized is also from the same female family as the duel group 2 winner Whitefriars.

All enquiries are welcome and we are always happy to try and help with travel of mares to and fro.

Our Mares

All mares are fed Lucerne and boiled barley daily at a set agistment cost of $12 per day. Any mares to be foaled down will do so in a small paddock beside the house/stables. All vet work will be carried out by our local vet and billed direct. We charge on 45 days in foal. Travel to Glenba will be helped with where possible.

If you have any questions please contact us and we will be glad to help.

About Peacewood Throughbreds

Peacewood Thoroughbreds

Peacewood Thoroughbreds is located at Glenba station 14 km north of Morven on the Landsbrough Highway. We have relocated from the Muttaburra area earlier this year and we now have much easier access to the thoroughbred industry. We train horses here as well as breed a small band of mares which we will generally race or sell privately.

Any enquiry is welcome about our mares and we are usually open to offers on their progeny - to sell outright or as shares to race. Our aim is not to compete with the bigger studs. We offer two viable low cost breed to race sires at a location closer to the western circuit, where breeding has taken a sharp downturn over the last ten years. Our stallions are not on the leading sires lists but we feel that they both have a lot to offer to the breeder who intends to race his stock.
